OEM, ODM or Private Label?
Start with what you have.
The right starting point depends on your formulation, product idea and brand requirements. Define the work you need before choosing the service label.
WHAT IS ALREADY DEFINED?
Three useful starting points.
Identify what you can bring to the conversation. Each route still needs product, packaging and commercial review.

An existing formulation
You have a formula or technical specification to review for manufacturing.

Compare the work behind the name.
These distinctions frame a Nam Viet enquiry. The agreed project scope determines the deliverables, approvals and commercial terms.

A service model does not by itself confirm formula rights, exclusivity, price, minimum quantity or delivery timing.
OEM starts with an existing product requirement
For the purposes of a Nam Viet project enquiry, OEM is the starting point when a buyer brings an existing formulation or technical specification for manufacturing review.
The key questions concern technical fit, product alignment, packaging and the agreed production scope. An existing recipe does not automatically mean that no development or adjustment will be needed.
Explore OEM ManufacturingODM includes product development
ODM is the starting point when the project needs a beverage developed from a concept or market brief. The work may involve clarifying the sensory direction, reviewing samples and agreeing a product specification.
Development scope needs its own boundaries. Sample rounds, costs, deliverables, intellectual-property rights and any exclusivity should be expressly agreed rather than inferred from the acronym.
Explore ODM DevelopmentPrivate label starts with an available product selection
Private label begins with a beverage reference that can be reviewed for the buyer’s own label. The practical work includes confirming the product, packaging, artwork and order configuration.
It is not the same as unrestricted access to another brand’s formula or packaging. A catalog image may show a reference product whose private label availability still needs confirmation.
Explore Private LabelPROJECTS CAN CROSS ROUTES
A project can need more than one workstream.
Describe the actual work. An initial service label does not need to cover every task in the project.
Private Label
Formulation development
A shortlisted beverage may need development when significant changes are requested.
OEM
Packaging development
An existing formula may still need packaging work and technical alignment.
ODM
Repeat manufacturing
An approved new product may move into a repeat manufacturing arrangement.
BEFORE AGREEING THE SCOPE
Five questions worth asking.
Use the same questions for all three routes. The answers help compare the proposed work and responsibilities.
Prepare your project brief01What do you provide?
Identify the formula, concept, reference sample, artwork or product shortlist you can share. Keep undecided points visible.
02What work is included?
Clarify development, technical review, packaging adaptation and production scope. Identify anything that requires a separate workstream.
03What needs approval?
Agree the sample, specification, artwork version and order details that need review, and who is responsible for each approval.
04Who holds the rights and responsibilities?
Discuss formula use, intellectual property, exclusivity and approval roles expressly. The service label alone does not settle these arrangements.
05Which terms remain conditional?
Confirm quantities, costs, materials, timing and open requirements. Compare the agreed work rather than assuming one model is always faster or less expensive.
