To import packaged non-alcoholic beverages from Vietnam into Saudi Arabia, the Saudi importer needs SFDA establishment and food-item registration, compliant Arabic labeling, shipment documents and food clearance through the applicable customs process. Product registration is not an import licence or release approval. This guide covers commercial retail shipments of juice, coconut water, aloe drinks and ready-to-drink tea. SFDA clearance requirements
1. Register the Saudi importer and food products
The Saudi importer should hold the appropriate Commercial Registration for its food activity and register the establishment and intended products on Ghad, as specified in SFDA's clearance requirements. For product registration, SFDA asks for the food-item details, artwork showing all label sides and a front image of the finished pack. Changes to mandatory registered details can require a new application. SFDA registration guide
The Vietnamese manufacturer supplies the formula, label data, specifications and production records. The Saudi importer handles local registrations, checks any category-specific establishment requirements and appoints an authorized customs broker. SFDA expressly states that food-product registration does not issue a certificate or count as a licence. Do not describe a registered drink as “SFDA certified.” SFDA registration guide, sections 5–7
